It’s easy and free to link your Posterous Space to a custom domain that you bought through a third party domain registrar like Go Daddy or register.com.

(If your domain is with GoDaddy, please follow these step by step instructions)

Here are the steps for all other domain registrars.

1. Log into your domain registrar where you bought your domain and go to the DNS settings or DNS management page.

2. Add an A record to the following IP address: 184.106.20.102. Delete all other A records that do not point to this address. This is the only change you need to make – you do not need to change your name servers.

3. Click Settings from the dropdown for your Space to set your custom domain to yourdomain.com:

You’re done! Note that it can take 12-24 hours for your domain settings to propogate across the Internet.
